Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) is a kind of functional polymer material with extremely high water absorption capacity. It can absorb hundreds to thousands of times of its own weight of water and form a stable hydrogel. It is difficult to remove the absorbed water even under pressure. Its structure contains a large number of hydrophilic groups, which achieve high water absorption and water retention through polymerization and cross-linking techniques. Since its development in the 1970s, water absorbent resins have been widely used in various fields such as hygiene products, agriculture, healthcare, industry, and environmental protection. In recent years, with the increasing demand for environmental protection, the research and application of non-toxic and biodegradable water absorbing resins have received increasing attention, especially in the continuous expansion of their use in physiological and hygiene products and ecological restoration.
